WHAT MAKES THIS FLOOR UNIQUE:
“Peachey Hardwood Flooring is a national manufacturer, and we have dealers who come to us and want either unfinished flooring or something very specific for a large project,” explains Brandi Copeland of Peachey Hardwood Flooring. “A general contractor reached out to MasterCare with a big project with certain specifications that promised to be a very unique floor.”

The client created a traditional Mexican restaurant with a modern flair. The restaurant’s focus was firewood or “leña,” which was incorporated into the aesthetic of the entire restaurant. The flooring selected was 4” wide, 6-millimeter engineered reclaimed oak, with
half of the material retaining the original saw marks from the historic barns from which the lumber was harvested.

“We supplied unfinished reclaimed oak hardwood flooring that they finished on-site. This floor included the original saw marks, which were requested. They wanted half of the floor to have the saw marks in it, which is a large amount compared with most other reclaimed floors,” explains Copeland. “This involved hand-sifting through our materials so that we could accommodate.”
