NWFA Podcasts Designed to Help the Industry Succeed

The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) today announced the relaunch of the “NWFA Real Answers” podcast and a brand-new podcast called “The Grain Room.”

The “NWFA Real Answers” podcast series features Stephanie Owen, President and CEO of NWFA and Chris Zizza, founder of C&R Flooring, Inc. and NWFA Hall of Famer. Listeners will gain valuable insights on how to run a successful business from a variety of guests and from Zizza’s more than 30 years of experience in the wood flooring industry. The latest episode features an interview with Oliver Barajas of Bridgebay Flooring, who shares his experience as a member of the NWFA Emerging Leaders Council, growing the industry, and the value of finding a niche that fits your strengths.

“The ‘Real Answers’ podcast is back and ready to tackle the business side of the wood flooring industry. Contractors and retailers need to hear these conversations so they can grow, compete, and succeed,” said Owen. “Both NWFA podcasts are one more way we look forward to engaging with and providing resources for our members and the industry as a whole.”

Hosted by Matt Casey, Technical Services Officer for NWFA, “The Grain Room” will focus on discussions about techniques, tools, best practices, and everything in between. The first episode includes Casey’s conversation with Brett Miller, General Manager of Olde Wood Ltd. and former VP of Technical Standards, Education, and Certification for NWFA. Together, they discuss the value of certification and continued education, NWFA technical publications, and the importance of advocacy for the hardwood industry.

“If you are passionate about the craft, ‘The Grain Room’ is built for you,” said Casey. “This will be a space where we dive into the technical aspects of the job, how to advance your skillset, and hear from industry leaders about their career path and lessons learned along the way.”

New episodes of either “Real Answers” or “The Grain Room” will be released every two weeks, with bonus episodes and content available. Listen now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or by visiting hardwoodfloorsmag.com.
