- February 3: 2025 WFOY Deadline. The NWFA’s Wood Floor of the Year (WFOY) awards encourage and recognize innovative craftsmanship and design in wood flooring installations. Since the program began in 1990, more than 300 awards have been presented to NWFA member companies throughout the world. Submissions for the 2025 WFOY are now open. Each entry must be received by 5:00 pm (Central Standard Time) on February 3, 2025. No extensions will be granted. Read more.

Choose from 2 Day Basic Installation, 2 Day Sand + Finish, or save money and register for the 4 Day Basic Installation and Sand + Finish combination! 2 Day Basic Installation includes the history of wood flooring, an introduction to jobsite preparation, proper operation and use of wood flooring tools and equipment, installation of unfinished and factory finished solid and engineered flooring, and practice with nail, glue, and floating installation methods. 2 Day Basic Sand + Finish provides the fundamentals of sanding and finishing wood flooring, proper operation and uses of sanding equipment and tools, and practice with application of stains, sealers and finishes.
