Howell Hardwood Flooring, located in Dothan, Alabama, recently added Hap Howell to its leadership team.
After graduating from Auburn University and passing his CPA exam in 2015, Hap Howell worked three years as an auditor with Ernst and Young in Birmingham. In 2018, he joined the accounting staff of Brasfield and Gorrie, one of the nation’s largest privately held construction firms.
“Hap is a relational leader who has a strong interest in learning and being involved in all aspects of our business. Our desire to be well cross trained makes this a good fit for everyone. As an example, Hap is now working closely with Howell’s marketing director, Allison Chapman, as she prepares for her upcoming maternity leave. Hap joins us as a vice president who reports to Todd Youngblood, our general manager,” says Clay Howell, president of Howell Hardwood Flooring. “My plans are to continue in my role as president for a few more years. I will remain involved in special projects and business development.”
Clay Howell added, “In 2018, we branded our now 25-year-old unfinished flooring line, ‘Hapwood®,’ in honor of our company founder, ‘Hap’ H. C. Howell. Now with his great grandson joining the company, that honor continues.”
