AHF Products has introduced new Quiet Comfort™ underlayment collections for Armstrong Flooring® hardwood flooring and Bruce® hardwood flooring, expanding its portfolio of installation accessories with solutions designed to address varying project requirements.
The collections give flooring dealers and installers options for moisture protection, sound reduction, comfort underfoot and compression stability across residential, multifamily, and select light commercial applications.
Armstrong Flooring® Quiet Comfort™
- Quiet Comfort Shield™ is a 6-mil polyethylene moisture barrier designed to help protect installations from moisture vapor migrating through concrete slabs and includes lip and tape. The Class I vapor barrier is designed for nail-down and floating hardwood applications.
Bruce® Quiet Comfort
- Quiet Comfort RackReady™ is a Class II moisture vapor retarder made with 30/30/30 asphalt-laminate Grade B kraft paper for nail-down and floating hardwood applications.
- Quiet Comfort MultiGuard™ is a high-performance EVA foam designed to provide sound reduction, moisture protection, and comfort underfoot. The GREENGUARD Certified product is mold and mildew resistant.
- Quiet Comfort SoundMax™ is a 2mm polypropylene foam designed to reduce sound transmission, provide moisture protection, smooth minor subfloor imperfections, and add comfort underfoot. It is FloorScore Certified and suitable for engineered hardwood, including floating and double glue-down installations. It provides IIC 66/STC 62 performance on 6-inch concrete with ceiling.
