Mohawk Finishing Products’ instructors will lead a one-day workshop on August 16, 2022, at the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA)’s headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri. Class begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m.
The team from Mohawk Finishing Products will train attendees using the most up to date touch-up and repair techniques for wood. Instructors will work with each student to ensure that upon completion of the workshop, they have achieved the repair techniques needed to enhance their business. They will demonstrate solutions to the most common wood touch-up and repair issues, such as:
- Damage analysis
- Replacing color
- Filling of damages
- Grain replacement
- Spot finish application
- Sheen adjustment
- Scratch removal
- Finish care
Through this curriculum, students will learn:
- Repair of gouges, deep scratches, burn marks, broken corners and edges
- Proper use of wax filler sticks, epoxy fillers, and adhesives
- Color matching principles – primary and secondary colors, effects of white and black colors, and color intensity levels
- Valuable repair application techniques: touch-up using aerosols, markers, and other proven methods
