Virginia Abrasives Seeking Pro Flooring Channel Sales Manager

We are looking for a candidate that will drive growth in the proflooring channel of our business. The channel manager is responsible for sales growth and will have significant input on new products, customer acquisition plans, promotional campaigns, pricing and targeted marketing activities.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
• Develop market attack strategy for hardwood flooring distributors/end users in conjunction with the Product Marketer
• Plan and execute on strategic initiatives in the Pro Flooring channel
• Direct the Pro Flooring channel products and pricing plans
• Initiate promotions for the Pro Flooring channel
• Coordinate activities with inside sales team and marketing coordinator to grow Pro Flooring channel
• Collect and use data in decision-making process
• Execute on initiatives as directed by VP of Sales

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in marketing or business is desirable but not required. Experience in the building products space with knowledge of the flooring industry is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 3+ years of sales in the building products space with a knowledge of the flooring industry.
• Proven ability to create value for customers.
• Tech savvy and passionate about the flooring industry.
• Ability to interact with a remote team across multiple business functions.
• Solid decision-making skills using best available data.
• Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with target buyers and users.
• Comfortable with writing and using business email systems, public speaking and have solid presentation skills.
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
• Physical location of candidate is flexible. Travel is required and estimated at 50%, North America only.
