The Cronin Company based in Portland, Oregon, has started the process of winding down operations after 141 years in business. The company will liquidate its assets over a period of time.
The Cronin Company was founded in 1878 by P.J. Cronin as a saddle and harness business and entered the flooring business in 1962. The company grew to become an independent wholesale distributor of floor covering products, with eight branch operations and over 140 employees serving customers throughout Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.
The fifth generation of the Cronin family now owns and operates the company.
