Bonitz, Inc. has announced the forthcoming retirement of Larry Hutton effective May 31, 2018. Mr. Hutton has elected to retire following 42 years of service, including the past 16 years as senior vice president of Bonitz Flooring Group.
“The success of Bonitz as an organization, and especially the Flooring Group’s success, is a direct reflection of the impact, influence, and success of Larry’s tenure and contributions,” said Pete Larmore, president & CEO of Bonitz, Inc. “I appreciate the leadership Larry has demonstrated from the beginning and wish him nothing but the best in retirement.”
According to the company, Hutton joined Bonitz in 1976 in the accounting department, before being promoted to controller and vice president of Finance. In 1991, he assumed an operational role as manager of the Columbia Flooring office before being promoted to senior vice president of the Flooring Group in 2003, with responsibility for South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama. In 2015 he was named to the Bonitz, Inc. Board of Directors.
“Bonitz is an incredibly special company, and I feel so fortunate to have spent my entire career here,” said Hutton. “Any success I have achieved is the culmination of the hard work and commitment of the many Bonitz associates I have had the privilege to work with over the years. I will miss them all greatly.”
Hutton’s retirement from Flooring Operations is effective May 31st, 2018, at which time he will assume a part-time role reporting to Mr. Larmore and working on special projects for the remainder of 2018, the company said.
