On May 12, Denver Hardwood celebrated its 36th Anniversary with the Grand Opening of their new 100,000-square foot, state-of-the-art Distribution Center. While this new location solidifies Denver Hardwood’s position as the largest hardwood flooring distributor in the Rocky Mountain region, it is their humble beginnings that truly tell the story of their rise to the top.
Denver Hardwood opened for operation in May 1981 in a small corner of a building they shared with East Denver Lumber. At that time, Denver Hardwood only occupied approximately 10,000 square feet of the 60,000-square foot building. Within a few years, Denver Hardwood soon had a lease on the entire building where they operated until 2011.
The celebration included demonstrations and tabletops from key vendors, as well as a BBQ for several hundred customers, staff, and key manufacturers.
