Kneho-Lacke and Välinge Innovation have entered into a strategic collaboration to license and further develop Acoustic Coating – a high-performing solution applied directly to the back of flooring panels to improve sound reduction.
The coating is supplied by Kneho-Lacke, a specialist in UV coatings, and is available in a wide range of colors. The company says Its formulation can be tailored to specific customer requirements, enabling flooring producers to enhance acoustic performance without compromising design flexibility or production efficiency.
“Kneho-Lacke brings decades of expertise in UV coating technology, and we continuously refine the formulation to deliver a scalable acoustic solution suitable for all types of wood flooring,” says Bernd Dinkelborg, head of sales at Kneho-Lacke.
As part of the collaboration, Välinge makes the Acoustic Coating technology available to flooring manufacturers under license, and Kneho-Lacke supplies the coating through its global network of resellers and partners.
Välinge offers in-house acoustic testing, including impact and in-room walking sound tests, to ensure reliable, measurable performance and support partners throughout product development.
