After 64 years under Laurenzi family management and ownership, Delmhorst Instrument Co. is being sold to Nielsen-Kellerman.
The company shared the following message with its customers:
“For 80 years, Delmhorst Instrument Co. has had the privilege of serving the moisture measurement needs of the lumber, building trades, and agricultural industries. Rooted in William Delmhorst’s original meter design to trace building leaks and guided by Aristide Laurenzi’s vision to pioneer what are now indispensable tools for production, quality control, and inspection, our mission has never wavered: to build precision U.S.-made instruments paired with the reliability and support our customers deserve.
That legacy of craftsmanship was made possible by the dedication of our talented employees – past and present – whose hard work and expertise have been the backbone of Delmhorst for eight decades.
While this marks the end of an era for our family, it is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the business. We have carefully chosen a successor in Nielsen-Kellerman who shares our core values and is deeply committed to maintaining the high standards of rugged, robust, U.S.-made products and technical expertise. NK will provide the vision, energy, and resources to build on our legacy and take the Delmhorst brand to new heights.”
The company also noted that current orders and technical support remain unchanged, as does contact information, and they are working to ensure a seamless transition. According to Delmhorst, operations will be transitioned to NK’s facility in Boothwyn Pennsylvania, in the months ahead to bring expanded capabilities and resources to better serve businesses for years to come.
