Bona® has appointed Clay Covington as vice president of professional sales for North America, effective December 1. Covington is stepping in as Tom McNeil, current vice president of sales for North America, is retiring after more than 17 years with the company.
Covington brings more than 25 years of extensive experience in hard surface flooring and distribution, most recently serving as vice president of sales at Galleher and Trinity Hardwood Distributors, both divisions of Artivo Surfaces. Prior to his tenure at Galleher, Covington was a sales leader with Mannington Mills and the Butler-Johnson Corporation.
“Clay’s strategic approach and deep industry knowledge make him an ideal addition to our leadership team,” said Erin Wright, senior vice president, human resources, Bona. “His proven track record of driving sales and building strong teams aligns perfectly with Bona’s culture, growth objectives and aspirations for the future.”
In his role, Covington will oversee Pro sales and the local marketing teams. He will also join the company’s National Leadership Team.

Covington is a long-time volunteer with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and currently lives in Northern California where he will continue to reside.
