With the implementation deadline for Lacey Phase VII less than three weeks away, the International Wood Products Association (IWPA) has free resources available until December 2.
Available On Demand Online Education: IWPA has three course paths available, all of which are approaching the end of free seats. As these are on-demand, they can be taken at any time; as long as the registration occurs by 11:59 PM December 1, it will be free no matter when it is completed.
- Lacey For Leadership, a shorter course intended for those in management and C-suite roles who need an overview of Lacey Act responsibilities
- Lacey Path for Brokers & Service Providers, carries CCS/CESĀ credits
- Lacey Act, a comprehensive course intended for those whose day-to-day responsibilities require Lacey Act compliance, carries CCS/CESĀ credits
IWPA is also sharing information from APHIS on the De Minimis exemption, as they have prepared several examples to illustrate how to apply the de minimis guidance released in 2020 in the Federal Register should be applied. Those examples are intended to help covered industries understand how to apply the guidance to their own products and shipments.
