Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, Inc. and Innovative Funding Partners (IFP) will offer a technical assistance webinar on the 2024 USDA Community Wood Innovations Grant program on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm EST.
It will provide AHMI members and the hardwood industry with an overview of the grant program and requirements. The deadline to apply is March 2024.
The webinar agenda includes:
- Explanation of the USDA Community Wood Innovations Program purpose.
- Grant application process and requirements.
- Tips for submitting a competitive proposal.
- IFP services available to AHMI members to support grant development, including peer review, and/or grant writing services.
Presenters are Louise Mathias, IFP Senior Partner, and Carrie Davis, IFP Senior Grants Consultant. Each has more than 20 years of federal grant writing experience, including numerous successful USDA grants for organizations across the country. IFP is a national grants consulting firm with significant expertise in developing successful federal grants.
In 2023, forest products companies received more than $43 million in Community Wood Innovations Grant assistance for uses of wood as construction materials, energy sources, and in manufacturing and processing input.
