This month, Bona U.S. reached a milestone for the Bona Certified Craftsman Program (BCCP) by welcoming its 700th member in the U.S. and Canada. Now in its 13th year, the company says BCCP represents a network of trusted hardwood flooring experts dedicated to providing excellent craftsmanship and customer service.
“This unique group of hardwood flooring professionals represents a selective group of the most trusted companies in the industry,” said Matt Casey, director of professional marketing and BCCP, Bona U.S. “As we’ve watched the BCCP grow over the years, we’ve been selective to ensure that our members deliver outstanding results while also meeting the range of consumer needs in today’s marketplace.”
Bona says the BCCP mission is to connect hardwood flooring contractors with consumers who are seeking trained, tested, up-to-date, reputable professionals dedicated to using the complete Bona System® of products. These experts stand by Bona’s Five Star Advantage, a commitment that ensures beautiful, durable floor finishes, dust containment systems, and lifetime support for hardwood floors. As a benefit, the BCCP helps train craftsmen to grow their businesses and expand their skill sets in hardwood floor finishing.
Casey continued, “Of our 700 members, nearly 500 have been with the BCCP for more than five years. By being part of the BCCP these professionals benefit from continued education and training, marketing support, sales support, and networking opportunities including our Bona Certified Craftsman Convention which we hold every other year.”
To join the BCCP hardwood flooring professionals must own a major business focused on the installation, sanding and/or refinishing of hardwood floors, attend an approved Bona Certification Training, employ industry and Bona best practices in the business, complete and pass a comprehensive BCCP test, and own and operate Dust Containment Systems (DCS) for all sanding equipment.
