Marty Hammonds and the team at Hammonds Wood Floors in San Antonio, Texas, recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of the company.
Marty Hammonds started in construction by framing houses when he was 14 years old. He began in the flooring industry when he was 17 and started his own business in 1982. The company is proud to be known throughout Central and South Texas for timeless craftsmanship and has worked on some of the most iconic buildings in the area, including the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio. Hammonds Wood Floorsā team averages 30 years of flooring experience with a multitude of skill sets.
A celebration was held at the end of 2022. Hammonds focused on his team during his speech, saying, āI got here because of my team. The biggest reward from 40 years of being in the business has been teaching this great team and also learning from them.ā He highlighted their qualities of talent, honesty, craftsmanship, intelligence, and loyalty. He noted how his team has chosen over the years to do good things for themselves and their families. āDo your job to honor God and do it right the first time. Be willing do more than others do,ā said Hammonds.
