In Memoriam: Jeff Rose

Jeff Rose, co-founder of Mansion Hill Custom Floors, passed away at home on August 19, following a nearly two-year battle with cholangiocarcinoma.

In 2011, Rose and his friend Bill Walz founded Mansion Hill Custom Floors in Newport, Kentucky. Rose expanded the business into Nashville five years later.

A trainer though the National Hardwood Flooring Association (NWFA), Rose regularly provided free CEUs to architects and designers. He was active in the American Institute of Architects Cincinnati Chapter and American Society of Interior Designersā€™ South Ohio/Kentucky and Tennessee chapters through the companyā€™s sponsorship of the professional organizations.

Rose began his career in hardwood flooring in 1993 after more than four years of service in the U.S. Navy. His first naval assignment was on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. During Desert Storm, he served in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Diego Garcia.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann, and their son, Jake. Jake joined Mansion Hill Custom Floors in 2015 and is a crew leader and finisher.
