City Floor Supply Sees Record Turnout for 2022 Nailer Day

After a three-year hiatus, City Floor Supply (CFS) held its annual “Nailer Day” event on March 17, 2022. Once again hardwood floor contractors and vendors came out in record numbers to test their installation skills and network with other flooring professionals. More than $10,000 in cash and prizes were handed out at the event and more than 150 flooring professionals attended.

As in years past, the much-anticipated “Fastest Nailer on the Floor” competition was the highlight of the event. The contest is a test of skill and speed, as competitors attempt to nail down 18 square feet of 2-1/4” red oak select flooring as quickly as possible. This year’s contest drew more than 60 competitors.

Ricardo Silva of RM Floors maintained his title as Fastest Nailer with an amazing time of 2:29 winning $500 in the process – see his winning run. Second place went to Rob O’Connell of O’Connell’s Custom Concept (2:54) and contractor A. Federico (3:11) took third place – each winning $250 and $100 respectively. Prizes were also handed out in the team, amateur and manual nailing divisions.

“We were very excited to hold this event after a three-year hiatus. It was so great to see contractors back in person networking with vendors and learning more about our industry’s latest innovative products. The crowd gets larger and the competition more exciting each year,” commented CFS founder Mike Glavin.

Representatives from several manufacturers were in attendance and contractors received exclusive discounts and chances to win equipment, supplies, and other prizes including a 4K HD TV, a Yeti Cooler, a Primatech Air Stapler, $500 worth of Bona products, City Floor Supply gift certificates, a Delmhorst ProScan with a carrying case, an American Sanders School Scholarship and HydraSand sanding disc, and more.

City Floor Supply has already started planning its next Annual “Nailer Day” scheduled for March 16, 2023.
