Columbus-based retailer America’s Floor Source is expanding its reach through acquisition for the second time this year. The company is adding The Flooring Gallery, a retailer in Louisville, Kentucky and Lexington, Kentucky. The deal includes retail stores, design centers, warehouses, inventory and other assets.
The Kentucky deal follows the August acquisition of JP Flooring in West Chester.
The Flooring Gallery, which was founded 21 years ago, is on track to be a $10 million business in 2021. It has five locations and 28 employees.
After this deal, America’s Floor Source now employs 400 people in three states with projected 2021 sales of $167 million.
It now operates nine locations in Columbus, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Louisville and Lexington.
In the release, founder and CEO Jason Goldberg said the deal allows his company to expand its presence in Louisville and enter the Lexington market for the first time.
America’s Floor Source already has a location in Louisville that is focused on homebuilders and property management customers. Now, it is able to offer its full range of products and services there.
The company also will expand its fleet of Mobile Floor Source vehicles into Louisville and Lexington to allow consumers to shop from their homes.
