Monarch Plank Launches Collection of Authentic Teak Hardwood Flooring

Monarch Plank has introduced True Teak, a new collection of pre-finished engineered hardwood floors made from authentic Southeast Asian teak.

The company shared that Monarch Plank’s True Teak floors are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and meet the strictest environmental and quality standards, featuring  a thick, sawn top layer, premium Baltic birch plywood backing, and a durable, silky, ultra-matte urethane finish. True Teak is grown in the highlands of Thailand on plantations that are specially managed for longer life cycles of 25 to 30 years.

“We’re excited to be able to make this precious and difficult-to-find hardwood available to our customers,” says Danny Harrington, V.P. of Product Strategy. “We are very fortunate to have unique access to an abundant supply of this beautiful material from an environmentally sound source.”

The True Teak Collection is comprised of 5/8” thick options in prime grade 4-3/4” wide planks and light rustic grade 7-1/4” planks. Both grades are available in a “bleached” finish as well as a “sunned” finish with the darker color of natural teak.
