NWFA Responsible Procurement Program Accepted into NAHB’s National Green Building Standard

The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Responsible Procurement Program (RPP) has been accepted into the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) new ICC 700-2020 National Green Building Standard (NGBS). The NGBS ensures that homes are healthy, efficient, and sustainable, and is the most utilized third-party residential green building certification program in the United States.

“We are excited to hear the great news that the NWFA’s Responsible Procurement Program has been accepted in the 2020 NAHB National Green Building Standard. As one of the original RPP participants, Sheoga has always felt the value of our commitment to sourcing our raw materials through the audited channels of this program,” says Barbara Titus, VicePresident of Sheoga Hardwood Flooring. “This certification remains with the product all the way to the end-user, who can be confident it was procured properly. It is important to us, as well as the other RPP participating manufacturers, that National Association of Home Builders recognizes this value and our commitment to the forests for future generations.”

In addition to Sheoga Hardwood Flooring, other participating manufacturer members of the NWFA RPP include AHF, Anderson Tuftex, Mohawk, Mannington, Mullican, and Shaw.
