The Forest Resources Association (FRA) announced that David West will be joining October 1, 2019, as Wood Supply Chain Specialist and Southwide Region Manager. In this new position, West will serve as a strategic supply chain leader offering expertise in managing supply chain operations in addition to the responsibilities as region manager which include: member technical support; managing regional policy and operational issues; and, conducting regional meetings and workshops.
West has a forestry degree from Mississippi State University and brings a wealth of expertise developed over a 25-year career in fiber supply chain operations at WestRock, KapStone Kraft Paper Corporation, and Weyerhaeuser. West was a former FRA Executive Committee Member.
He will be working with Rick Meyer as he transitions into the new position until Meyer retires.
