Premier Building Solutions has added Michael Kohler as Director of Technical Services to its executive team. In this new role, Michael will oversee research and development and enhance the role the technical department plays in supporting Premier’s sales and manufacturing departments.
As Director of Technical Services, Kohler will ensure Premier is on the cutting trend of technology. He will lead his department in implementing new testing equipment based on industry trends, work closely with quality control on processes and procedures and create new sealant and adhesive formulations based on industry demands.
Kohler comes to Premier with 35 years’ experience working in the sealant and adhesive industry. Prior to coming on board with Premier, he was employed by Tremco, Inc. for the nearly 30 years. He most recently held the role of Vice President, Integrated Technical Solutions & Risk Management.

Premier has also added Alexander Chuang as a Research and Development Chemist to its’ rapidly growing staff. The addition of this position to the company’s laboratory will allow Premier Building Solutions to further increase the superior quality of the XtraBond product line.
As an R&D Chemist, Chuang will use his knowledge and expertise to develop new products and refine existing formulas.
Prior to coming on board with Premier Building Solutions, Chuang was employed by Tremco, Inc. for the past five years. He most recently held the role of Research & Development Chemist at their Beachwood, Ohio location.
The expanding research & development team will continue the company’s history of innovation that has led to the development of breakthrough adhesive chemistries and new industrial-strength products.
