Dan’s Custom Hardwood Flooring recently opened a new, and first ever, showroom in Hingham, Massachusetts. This celebration also commemorated 25 years of being in business.

“We picked this location because we do a lot of the work on the south shore and along the coast,” says Jimmy Nguyen, co-owner. “Hingham is a great community, and we feel that it is the gateway to the entire south shore as it represents so many great things about our state (history, culture, lifestyle). We have had a smaller shop in Hingham for over two years now, and when this new building was built, it was a great opportunity for us to move into a bigger facility and the opportunity to open a showroom.”

The company started back in 1989, and after some name changes was incorporated to become Dan’s Custom Hardwood Flooring in 2006. Current daily operations are handled by Kenneth and Jimmy Nguyen, and the staff now includes 12 full-time and two part-time employees.

“As I began my career in the wood flooring industry, going to the NWFA’s classes were a huge reason for my personal development and as a result, also the company’s advancement and success,” says Jimmy. “I always felt that a showroom would legitimatize our presence, our knowledge, and our craft. It was always a dream of mine personally, and now that I have achieved it, I get a chance to reflect on the path we took to get here.”

He continued, ” I can’t stress enough, how much of our success was because of the relationships and knowledge that was gained through the NWFA. Without the NWFA, I can honestly say that I don’t think we would be in the same situation that we are in today.”

the showroom when I was up a couple weeks ago. Growing up on Bostons South Shore , I love seeing a quality outfit and quality people represent the industry. I’ll look forward to my next trip up!
