Bona® announces the next-generation of its revolutionary Bona Power Drive® floor disc sander. Bona will feature the new Bona Power Drive at the upcoming National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina (booth number 1105).
The new Bona Power Drive elevates wood floor sanding with a new 270-degree LED light that disperses light evenly for increased floor visibility without the need to manually move the machine. Other upgrades include user-friendly features such as a kickstand that protects both the floor surface and machine, and a redesigned backlit multimeter.
“The Bona Power Drive was designed 10 years ago as a revolutionary technology to make jobs easier for contractors and dramatically improve the ease of sanding a floor,” said Matt Casey, director of professional marketing, Bona. “In 2015, the Bona Power Drive transformed the marketplace, removing the reliance on a heavy belt sander that called for a specific contractor skill set. With the added features we’ve implemented over the past 10 years, the Bona Power Drive continues to lead the way for a truly revolutionary sanding experience.”
Originally developed to use multi-disc technology, the four-head Bona Power Drive was viewed as a fine sanding machine, a tool to use at the end of the project. Today, many contractors have adopted the machine to use from start to finish, replacing other equipment. The Bona Power Drive delivers powerful rotary sanding down to bare wood, significantly reducing straining edging time and delivering a fine and smooth sanding result that minimizes the risk of drum marks or chatter.
Since its launch in 2015, Bona Power Drive has included dust containment and added features such as a weight kit and a folding handle to help with shipping and moving while taking up less room. Renowned for its unmatched versatility and performance, the Power Drive combines a compact design tailored for flooring contractors with exceptional maneuverability, making it perfect for tough jobs that demand flawless results.
The newest Bona Power Drive features include:
- 270-degree LED light that improves visibility
- Kickstand that allows the machine to tilt without contacting the floor
- Atomic DCS® compatible
At the NWFA Expo, Bona will host a live demonstration of the new Bona Power Drive on Thursday, April 17 from 11:00-11:30 a.m. in demo theater #2. Additionally, on Wednesday, April 16 from 12:15-12:45 p.m., Bona will showcase its Bona Chroma Waterborne Wood Floor Coloration System in demo theater #1.
