From beautiful beaches to magnificent mountains, North Carolina is closely tied with the many outdoor experiences it has to offer. Of course, a major part of the great outdoors is forestland, which covers more than 60 percent of total land in the state¹. Forestry is the second largest industry in North Carolina, as it is responsible for 151,700 jobs¹.
