Furniture manufacturers attending the Fall 2019 International Home Furnishings Market in High Point this week have gotten a unique insight into the latest color innovations and trends shaping the furniture market from experts in AkzoNobel’s Global Color and Design team for Wood Coatings.
This team works with furniture designers and architects to understand and interpret the impact of fashion and lifestyle on colors and effects used in paints and coatings. During and following the Market event, taking place this week, AkzoNobel experts are inviting customers to their studio to share insights into the color and design influences driving the wood industries.
In addition, the AkzoNobel team is showcasing the company’s 2020 Color of the Year – Tranquil Dawn, which is a shade somewhere between green, blue and gray – and is discussing the four color trends expected to shape the wood coatings market over the next 12 months: Upcycle, Hybrid, Classical and Evolve. These color trends were also the center of discussion during a special media presentation, “Color Futures and Trends” on Oct. 17, 2019, at the studio.
