Horizon Forest Products announced the appointment of Oscar Velasquez to the Houston Branch as the Operations Manager.
Oscar comes to Horizon Forest Products with a background in Operations and Warehouse Management in the oil and gas industry. He is a native of Houston and is currently a part-time student working on his degree in Business Management Administration. Oscar has a charity based mindset, and works with Houston’s youth through an organization called Battlegroundz, which helps create purpose for the youth in the local communities.
“I could tell from the start that he was curious about this position and not just looking for a job. He asked good questions and tossed out scenario questions, which he still does now. As we know from John Maxwell, curiosity leads to imagination and creativity which gets things done. Oscar is a “get things done” sort of guy,” says Alan Blake, Houston Branch Manager for Horizon Forest Products.
