LP Building Solutions (LP) has announced the continuation of its partnership with the Forest Workforce Training Institute’s ForestryWorks® program and a new collaboration with the First Nations Forestry Council. Both initiatives aim to develop the next generation of forestry professionals and advance sustainable forest management across North America.
The announcement coincides with National Forest Products Week, which recognizes the environmental and economic value of sustainable forestry. Through these partnerships, LP says it demonstrates its ongoing commitment to responsible forest stewardship and the long-term benefits of wood-based materials in resilient and sustainable building practices.

Launched in 2018 with LP’s direct involvement, ForestryWorks provides education, career awareness, and hands-on training to build a strong pipeline of skilled forestry workers. LP’s renewed partnership helps expand the program’s reach and ensures a steady pipeline of well-trained professionals for generations to come. LP’s collaboration with the First Nations Forestry Council funds scholarships for Indigenous students in the Indigenous Forestry Trades Program, which combines classroom learning with a paid practicum and mentorship from industry professionals.
