A few years after graduating from Harvard College in 1952, “Red” started trading in wood products as a wholesaler for L.R. McCoy. With his long-time business partner, Harold Schottenfeld, he was able to grow Marlin Lumber into a force in the hardwood flooring industry. Known as an “old-school” trader and creative deal-maker, he was greatly appreciated for his integrity, tenacity and generosity.
Warren is survived by his wife Barbara, son James, daughter Penelope, son in law Christopher, and his three grandchildren.
