FCIF’s Inaugural “One Day to Give” Raises $80K

The Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) hosted its inaugural “One Day to Give,” a 24-hour online fundraising drive, on Thursday, June 2. During the campaign, the non-profit received nearly $80K in donations, which exceeded their goal for this event.

“Over 25 percent of these donations came from “first time” donors. Among donors who renewed past contributions, 25 percent accepted the +10 percent challenge. These results are very exciting, and we are looking forward to repeating this event in the future,” said Andrea Blackbourn, the foundation’s executive director.

One Day to Give united the floor covering industry to make a lasting impact on families faced with unexpected medical battles who need help getting back on their feet. FCIF is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit that has been assisting floor covering workers and their families since 1981. The organization provides a way for the industry to “take care of its own” by providing financial assistance grants to those who are struggling with severe illnesses, injuries, and disabilities.

“The goal of One Day to Give was to increase the awareness of FCIF while also, of course, encouraging donations from individuals within the flooring industry. The results of this first event were excellent and achieved both goals,” said Jeanne Matson an FCIF board member and industry consultant.

FCIF accepts donations year-round and offers multiple ways to make an impact:
