Concord Flooring Introduces Digital Nano Staining Technology

Concord Flooring announced that the company is introducing the ability to use their new high-speed Digital Nano Staining Technology (DNST) on hardwood surfaces, giving clients the potential for rich and innovative patterns and textures at a fraction of the cost of their current practices. The new technology uses inorganic mineral stains that can absorb and permeate into the depths of the wood, and with this 3-D digitally staining process, it can absorb deep into the wood grain.

The company shared that the mineral stains are safe, water based and carbon-free, supporting the demands of sustainability and clean-air processes. In addition, surface sealing technology, provides remarkably high resistance against scratching and wear in the higher traffic areas. If the stained surface has not been damaged, this process provides a long-lasting protection against bacteria and mold, making it ideally suited for surfaces in public, medical and sensitive clean room type areas. It has a permanent antimicrobial effect against bacteria and fungi and active multi-resistant germs. This hybrid coating process is also easy to clean and maintain.

These mineral stains do not fade in sunlight or when immersed in water. All surfaces are UV coated and cured with several protective coats, allowing a dry contact as it feeds out of the machine. The flooring offered is made in the USA and can be produced in days and shipped directly to distributors.
