Final Coat: Come Together, Finally

For the first time ever, the NWFA and the Coverings international tile and stone exhibition are partnering to host NWFA’s Wood Flooring Expo and Coverings 2021 simultaneously, July 7-9, in Orlando, Florida.

What does this mean? If you come to Expo, you also can visit Coverings’ tradeshow and see the latest in wood, tile, and stone all at the same time.

Register now to recharge, reconnect, and take advantage of educational opportunities and networking possibilities only the NWFA Expo can offer. If you’re like me, this will be my first business trip in over a year, and I can’t wait to catch up with friends and colleagues in person.

That said, our priority is to create a safe environment for our Expo attendees and exhibitors. In July, we will still be operating under safety protocols as required by the city of Orlando and the state of Florida. The protocols change rapidly, so visit nwfaexpo.org to view the latest guidelines and procedures, and we will advise you when you arrive what special attention you will need to pay to social distancing or other requirements.

This year marks the 35th time the NWFA Expo has been held. We’ve secured speakers to talk through the new home building backlog, the lumber issues at the heart of the problem, and the latest outlook for 2021 and beyond. We also will have a special Wood Floor of the Year presentation as well as live education, new product demonstrations, and exhibitions on the tradeshow floor.

This year, the NWFA Certified Professionals Symposium, which takes place Wednesday, July 7, is open to the entire industry. Whether you’re certified or not, you can register for this separate event to learn about the latest issues showing up in the field and with inspections. These sessions include:

  • The Science of Field Testing
  • The Science of Laboratory Testing
  • Mind the Gap(s): How, When, and Why to Apply Dimensional Change Coefficients

This year’s Expo will be special – not only because it’s happening at the same time as Coverings, but more importantly, it’s our first opportunity to network in person in two years. While it has been great to see everyone via Zoom since the last Expo, it’s time to meet face-to-face again to build relationships that really can develop only by spending time together in-person.

So come together with old friends, meet new ones, and enjoy doing business in the sunshine state. And if you haven’t taken a family vacation, Orlando’s theme parks and destinations are second-to-none. Register today at nwfaexpo.org.
