Stairbuilders and Manufacturers Association to Host Balustrade Level I Class

The Stairbuilders and Manufacturers Association (SMA) will be offering a Balustrade Level I Class in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, September 11-13, 2019. This class is intended for general woodworkers who want to learn basic installation of stairways and balustrades. 

Basic skills and principles of post-to-post balustrade installation will be taught using practical, hands-on methods. This class is sponsored by Crown Heritage and will include a shop tour of their facility.     I,m Robert one of the instructors teaching this class. The class covers bring stairways back into code when adding a new floor at the top or the bottom. It also covers replacing and repairing newels, balusters, and handrails to a complete change-out. The class is how and why it works with several different approaches to issues giving you the ability to choose the correct application.
