Festool Kicks Off Educational Road Show at the International Builders’ Show

Festool is working to address the skills gap and the shortage of skilled labor in the trades by dedicating an entire roadshow truck to teach, inspire, and prepare young workers for their new careers in the trades.

The Festool Educational Road Show will stop at trade schools, colleges, and technical high schools across the nation to train students and educators, raise awareness for education and skills development, and foster networking and connection to local tradespeople, craftsmen, and the general public.

“We are bringing together students, apprentices, educators, tradespeople, and enthusiastic craftsmen to celebrate the crafts and demonstrate how vital and attractive it is to invest in knowledge, skills, and education,” said Philip Strnad, Project Lead, Festool.

The Road Show kicks off this week at the 2019 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The first open house event will take place at Cerritos College in Los Angeles on March 15.

Festool is partnering with This Old House, Keep Craft Alive, SawStop, Shaper Tools, the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), and the Home Builders Institute on this initiative.
