APEX is looking to add a new Project Manager to its team. We are a fast paced environment with new projects, bids, and opportunities opening up every day. Our new team member will need to have working knowledge of reading and understanding a blueprint, with preferred experience using Bluebeam or another takeoff software. Understanding job layout and measuring with working knowledge of square footage are required, as well as proficiency of Microsoft Office.
A valid driver’s license is necessary, as travel to multiple job sites around the Chicago area is required on a weekly basis. We work with multiple clients and industry partners at one time, and are looking for someone with the ability to work closely with the sales team to provide timely and accurate quotes. They will be working hand in hand with the owner of APEX, and will need to be flexible in their role of project managing versus budgeting according to different jobs and projects. We prefer candidates to have experience in design, architecture, or construction and as well as understanding how to use a CRM system, though these skills are not a requirement.
Our new team member will need to be self-motivated and take initiative, while remaining organized and detail focused. This position works with both the sales and production sides, cooperation and an outgoing nature are key. As with any team, we collaborate with one another daily, so keeping a great attitude with everyone working on a project is essential. As this person will be interfacing with clients often, they need to be people orientated and relate well to anyone and everyone they meet at APEX. Experience is a huge plus, though a highly trainable and adaptable nature is also desired, as the skills needed for this job are constantly innovating with the industry. We’re looking for someone with a coachable demeanor and a desire to learn and grow in this position.
