Greatest Hits 11 – Philosophical Ponderings

So we just finished celebrating a holiday dedicated to workers and next week I’m going to be in D.C. for the Hardwood Federation Fly-In, and that got me thinking about how many times I’ve made a call, even a plea for action. I went back and tracked down some old posts, and maybe one of these will inspire you. (Interestingly, these refer to past Fly-In’s so clearly trips to DC get me thinking the same way every time!)

I entitled this blog “Philosophical Ponderings,” but really it should be “Past Pleas for Action.” If you can’t make D.C. next week, you can still act. Have you posted a comment yet—offered up your opinion of the situation and its impact on you?

Jurassic Park and the Wood Industry – We need to act to survive.
Michael J. Fox and the Wood Industry – It’s not someone else’s job to fix things.
Guess I’m just feeling Philosophical: Lessons from Biology Class – If you don’t act, you can’t expect change.
Philosophical Lessons from Japan – You can’t complain if you don’t try to make it better.
Seeking Common Sense – We need more common sense in government.
The Power of Negative Thinking – If you are prepared, it’s a lot easier…it seems that things are going to get a little crazy very quickly: think about Plan B. And C. And maybe X, Y and Z…

Sense a theme here? Take action!

See you all in DC!
