AHEC: A Heck of a Lot of Good Info!

So it’s been a while since I played around on the AHEC site and my goodness, if you haven’t checked it out recently, you should go do so now.

AHEC is the American Hardwood Export Council and they have been promoting US hardwoods all around the world. They have some excellent material that you can use to promote the wood right here at home as well!

Now the link above is for their main site, the US one, but frankly speaking, I often head over to the European one. I just find it easier to hunt through. So the links below go there, but you can track them anywhere.

So what will you find when you hunt through?

How about an environmental profile for US woods?

Or a terrific interactive map showing location of species and their harvest/regrowth rates? You can even drill down per state.

Want LCA tool? They’ve got one!

And maybe you just want to learn more about each species or see some great wood shots. They’ve got great stories on all the woods.

The bottom line is that if you want to promote US hardwoods, AHEC has a heck of a lot of really good information! Check them out!
