Ten Oaks, LLC, a hardwood flooring manufacturer in Stuart, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Shaw Industries Group’s Stuart, Virginia Plant HT. Shaw had previously announced on October 31 of this year that they would conclude manufacturing operations at that location at the end of 2017. This transaction is expected to close in mid-January 2018.
The plant was originally started by the Ten Oaks’ family in 1982, and was sold to Harris-Tarkett in 1998 before being purchased by Shaw Industries in 2010.
Buddy Williams, General Manager of Ten Oaks, said, “We are blessed to be able to purchase the assets of the Shaw plant and will use them to help us expand Ten Oaks’ flooring operations. We look forward to seeing our employees, community, customers, and suppliers benefit from this expansion.”
