Formaldehyde Fun Begins Again

So as noted a few weeks ago, I’ve been largely silent on a topic that I rarely ignore—formaldehyde regulations. That silence is about to end. Coming up in the next few weeks, we’ll start digging into the Environmental Protection Agency’s TSCA regulation. There are still a few things up in the air, but we’ll start trying to make sense of what we can.

But not this week. The first reason is that while I have draft posts written when I’m talking something this serious, I like to have a few other people take a run through them. So I have posts out to others to make sure I’m close to right in my rants.

Second, August 21 was the Eclipse!  I live in Oregon, which was expecting just a few tourists in, including several dozen showing up at my house for the event. So I’ve been a bit busy the last few weeks. Hopefully, it was all worth it, and I’m sure it was—even if it rains, it’s an awesome group of people from all around the world.

So next week I hope to start tackling formaldehyde and shining some light on the subject. But this week for me, it’s all about Going Dark in Oregon!

  1. I have been using the 3 M 6000 series respirators for 28 years. Are you going to tell me to call an 800 number to collect my settlement? Is the E.P.A going to get exonerated for another piece of misinformation?
