According to the Omaha World-Herald, Nebraska Furniture Mart President and Chief Operating Officer Ron Blumkin will leave his position as part of the company’s long-term succession planning. Tony Boldt, director of the Kansas City store, will take the role of president and COO.
Blumkin will serve as chairman, and Irv Blumkin will remain chief executive.
Boldt started at Homemakers Furniture, a subsidiary of Nebraska Furniture Mart, in Des Moines. In 2002 he took a leadership role with Nebraska Furniture Mart’s warehouse in Clive, a Des Moines suburb. He also worked as appliance and electronics general manager at the Omaha store. He has worked in his current role at the Kansas City store since 2012.
