The Floor Inspectors Educational Guild Spring Class registration through the NWFA is now active.
Attached is the form from the NWFA. For those who are ready to register through the NWFA, please complete the attached form then email it to Miss Wanda.

"Wanda Matthews L." <wandam@nwfa.org>

More information will be posted soon.

I want to thank the NWFA for their support and help. This "NEW" NWFA is a wonderful thing to behold.

Selva Lee, My goodness to hear you rave over the new NWFA...makes my little wooden heart chatter!!! Good to hear that!. Now for those on the West coast that cannot travel for classes, who can teach those ...I volunteer. Maybe a satellite class here on the Cali4nia coast would bring more NWFA members to the table.
I can easily follow the format as I did write Technical manuals in the Army. teaching is my game and setting up shop for a 3 day class here in Fresno is the best and most inexpensive area and Central between S.F & L.A.
Would be interesting!!! Hmmm??? thoughts? email me at tdmac@valleyhardwoodflooring.com

Now now, I know the shortcomings, but, have you ever been put in charge of such a group as us??????

Think about it.
Would YOU want to be charge of an association you and I are members of????

I had a meeting today with the professor in charge. We discussed many issues about the upcoming class. Dr. Mitchell told me how much he was looking forward to meeting new people coming to the classes for the first time.
He said, that wood flooring people are an "interesting group". We discussed our wood "history" and he laughed, and told me he was once a "log picker upper". His job, was to pick up logs for processing for ten hours a day.
He won that one.

He said the only job he has never had in the lumber biz is, cutting them down.

Update
Mr Tolli, former Wicanders Cork tech, will do a two hour presentation on cork and cork installation on June 2d.

Mr Tolli taught the current group of cork experts when he was with Wicanders so this is a huge chance for the students to learn and ask all those questions about cork they always wanted to know

Oh man, bummer. I can't afford to go, work is to slow. I thought his name was spelled with one l, not two l's.
