Looking at a job with prefinished edge grain coconut palm flooring. Anyone have any experience with this animal?

Is there a link for this material? I don't think that there are growth rings with these monocots and not certain how you would tell edge grain from flat grain.

I just looked at some palm samples and there is not much difference between the tangential and radial axes. I think that they are calling slats glued together "edge grain".
Palm lumber has to be the greenest wood product on the planet. It would be burned on the plantations if it was not converted into flooring. I personally love the look of the palm but the ladies who are the product decision-makers most likely think it's too "busy looking". Between that and finger-block parquet some great performing products that just can't make it in the marketplace. Too bad that the green thing does not work correctly. Maybe there should be pale green and dark green classifications. Sorry for the digression.
