Hardwood Hints: Saw Dust Crack Filler Tutorial

We’ve all been there. The job is complete, all of your equipment is packed up, and you’re ready to leave the job site only to realize that there is a small crack in the floor that needs to be filled.

One quick and easy solution is to take some fine sawdust that you have left from using the miter saw or even bump the dust out of a sanding pad or an edger pad. Then, take either some floor finish or wood glue and mix it with the saw dust and get it to a consistency of a pasty residue. Next, use that substance as your filler, it should dry in about four-five minutes. Finish it off by using a little bit of finish or colored marker on it to match the color of the floor.
